Jemma Theivendran: PhD Student

I received my BSc. and M.B.B.S. degrees at Imperial College London. I chose to specialise in psychiatry, and am part way through my training to subspecialise in child and adolescent psychiatry. I am a first year part-time PhD student at the Department of Experimental Psychology supervised by Dr Tali Sharot. My research aims to understand the emotional and motivational shaping of beliefs by considering the manner in which information is chosen and assimilated to form a belief. In my investigation, I will be using behavioural experiments across adolescence and adulthood, and in both healthy and clinical populations.
