1. Introduction<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n The Affective Brain Lab from the Brain and Cognitive Neuroscience Department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) (\u201cus\u201d, \u201cwe\u201d, or \u201cour\u201d) operates Digital Diet mobile app and its web browser extension for the Chrome web browser (hereinafter referred to as \u201c<\/span>Service<\/b>\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n This Privacy Policy governs your use of the mobile app and the web browser extension for the Chrome web browser Digital Diet, and explains how we collect, safeguard and disclose information that results from your use of our Service.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>We use your data to provide and improve Service. While the apps retrieve content analysis scores (such as emotion, knowledge, and actionability) from a secure cloud database based on data generated through your use of the Digital Diet Chrome Extension, no information about your identity, search history, browsing activity, or device usage is collected or transmitted. Your use of the mobile apps remains entirely private.<\/span><\/p>\n Usage Data<\/b><\/p>\n We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access Service by or through a mobile device (\u201c<\/span>Usage Data<\/b>\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
